Our programs are specifically designed for 3-week long sessions. We prioritize community making and progressive skill building.

Drop off is from 8am - 9am. Campers may not be dropped off any earlier than 8am and should be at camp no later than 9am so that we are able to begin activities on time as many require transportation.
Pick up is from 4pm - 5pm. While we follow this schedule as closely as possible, please note that return times may occasionally be delayed.
We ask that families communicate any drop off/pick up needs outside of these times. We can accommodate but often requires pre-planning due to our trips away from the home base site.

Camp provides the perfect opportunity to make new friends! However, we do take requests to put campers in the same group. Campers must be in the same age unit based on the grade they are entering in the fall. We do also ask that you take into consideration the different biking ability of each camper as we do cater our rides to safely challenge the entire group.

Campers will carry their belongings with them throughout the day and we do spend most of the day outdoors so a comfortable backpack is a must! Along with their lunch, water bottle and sunscreen, a rain jacket, hat and sunglasses will help keep campers comfortable.

Yes! Please provide your child with a lunch that is packed in a way that will prevent spoilage and is adequate to meet their energy needs for a busy day at camp.
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided by camp. If your child has a food allergy or dietary restriction please indicate that on the online health form. It is our priority to accommodate our campers’ dietary needs.

Here are some tips for success to help support a camper before their first day:
Emphasize to your child that it is an opportunity rather than being “sent” to camp.
Speak positively and share your own stories of going to camp.
Talk about what the schedule will be like.
Let your child know that it is okay to be nervous.
Pack appropriately and make sure paperwork is complete to ensure a smooth drop off.
Camp is the BEST place to make new friends. Friendships made at camp are different than any others made at school or in other activities. Many of our campers come to camp not yet knowing anyone. We train our staff to create welcoming spaces, build community where every voice is heard, and lots of opportunities to make friends. Go West is a unique place where campers make friends that they will look forward to seeing year after year!
