OUR PLANNING FOR COVID-19 AND SUMMER 2021
At Go West our primary goal is to provide a supportive and healthy camp environment for our staff, campers and families. Spring of 2020 we made the decision to put our camp programs on pause for the 2020 season. Registration for Summer 2021 is now open and our leadership team is currently working on detailed plans for the safe opening and operation of camp.
In consultation with our Camp Nurse, Kaitel Burch RN, BSN, our director team is working on policies and procedures based on guidance and relevant data from the Centers for Disease Control, El Paso County Public Health Department, the Colorado Department of Human Services, and the American Camp Association in collaboration with Environmental Health and Engineering, Inc.. In the lead up to Summer 2021, we will continue to update our policies and procedures and how we plan to operate camp under current health conditions. This includes things like limiting camper group sizes and interactions with other groups, offering a convenient kiss-and-go morning drop off, training for our staff and more.
As information surrounding health and safety continues to change over the coming months, we will continue to provide updates about our planning here on our website.
